The Hornet is a re-release of Tamiya's legendary 1984 2WD off-road buggy, made for both new and longtime R/C fans. This 1:10 scale model combines classic looks with solid performance on dirt and on-road surfaces.

A sealed gearbox with diff gear, a lightweight ABS bathtub chassis, and a high-performance RS 540 motor are the features of the buggy. It has oil-filled back shocks and a swing axle front suspension with friction dampers, which makes it easy to ride on rough terrain.

Additional features include ribbed front tyres, spiked rear tyres, and a durable polycarbonate body shell. It also comes with a TEU-101BK Electronic Speed Controller and original 3-piece wheels, which support optional ball bearings sold separately.
