Rummikub is a classic tile-based game invented by Ephraim Hertzano in the 1940s. Originally created in response to card-playing being banned under the Communist regime, it developed into a family activity and later became Israel's best-selling export game. Over time, Hertzano's family licensed the game internationally, making Rummikub a household name enjoyed worldwide.
The game plays similarly to Rummy with cards, where players aim to get rid of all their tiles. You can form runs of three or more numbers or sets of three to four of a kind, with colors representing suits. As tiles are played, the board changes constantly, creating new opportunities and challenges for each turn.
Rummikub starts off simple but grows more strategic and engaging as the game progresses.
