This LEGO Technic Power Functions Motor Set comprises 10-piece components set for the LEGO Technic series. It is a power function starter components kit that comes with a battery box, a switch, a medium motor, some lights, and some extra gears. The battery box is built from solid enclosed rectangular plastic with a sliding switch with the forward-off-reverse position. This battery box securely holds 6 AA batteries that you can insert by sliding off its 2 covers for its 2 compartments to store 3 batteries in each container. The switch and the medium motor have wired end connectors to make connections to the battery holder. There are 3 functional universal joints, clutch gear and a regular large gear wheel with 3 small gears. A pair of small lights included in this set can be installed into tight spaces on the LEGO Technic series of build sets, which are sold separately. Suitable for ages 9 to 16 years.
