Step back to the golden era of Hornby trains with this British Rail High-Speed train set. Inspired by the classic R.685 design, it blends retro style with modern detail, perfect for sharing childhood memories with the next generation.

The set features the legendary InterCity 125 High-Speed Trains introduced in 1976, running 200 km/h services on the Great Western and East Coast Main Lines. Built at Crewe by BREL, the Class 43 remains one of the fastest diesel trains in the world.

It includes two Class 43 diesel driving cars, one powered with working headlights and one non-powered, plus a Mk3 passenger coach. An oval track with siding, a buffer stop, and a mains-powered controller complete the set for hours of running and creative fun.
