The Fujimi Brabham BT46B Fancar 1:20 model kit captures one of Formula One's most unique designs. Debuting at the 1978 Swedish Grand Prix, the car used a rear-mounted fan to boost downforce, giving Niki Lauda a dominant win.
Though the fan was claimed to aid cooling, it also extracted air from beneath the car, increasing grip. The FIA banned the design after its first race, leaving the BT46B with a perfect one-race, one-win record.
This kit replicates Lauda's #1 car in fine detail, including white and black molded parts, matte chrome pieces, and a deep blue tinted windscreen. It's a must-have for motorsport fans who appreciate innovation and a bit of controversy.
